Fuel filter location: Remove Front Drivers wheel. If you look at the wheel-less well, it will be hidden behind a plastic cover on your right hand side.

Not sure what o-rings you're looking for. I don't recall whether I ordered anything in addition to the fuel filter. If it helps I bought a Mann WK612/2 and did not record any other purchase to replace this filter.

The reason I'm asking about o rings is are there o rings on either ends of line the fuel filter attaches.

Not sure if the fuel filter comes with them or not. I would recommend ordering the filter first and seeing if it comes with one. Maybe buy one from the dealer?

Let the forum know what you find out. I can't believe that everyone here would have re-used an ancient o-ring.

New ones have a Part Number CAC89682 but have been superseded to XR829166 and ultimately NLA, but can be found on eBay.

It is a threaded fitting at both ends, no "O" Rings. Filter is a metal can with threaded ports in and out!!

The 'O' rings have got nothing to do with the Fuel Filter.

The Fuel pipes connect to the Fuel Tank by means of 'Push and Twist' Connectors, which is why you need the 'O' rings to have something to Push

onto, to form a Fuel Tight Seal before you Twist them to lock them in place.

Orangeblossom,

You are correct if he was referring to the fuel tank connection.

His original question was "Where is the fuel filter located" and where could he purchase new O rings for the fuel lines.

He did not refer to the fuel lines leading into the fuel tank. You are correct if that is what he meant.

I also have a 96 -4Litre Conv. and just changed the fuel filter and both incoming and outgoing fuel lines are threaded!!

Thanks

Softball60/Paul
