Default AC recirculation fail,1996 4.0 2+2

I am getting outside air coming into the cabin even with the recirc button lit up on the dash. I want to fix this if possible and if no fix is reasonable I want to move the door to recirc position and fix it there. I always run the AC set on recirc. I have the repair manual so maybe I can figure out where the door is that controlls the mix.
Just wondering if any of you folks with an XJS had done this. I really do not like diesel exhaust in the cabin. Thanks for any repies.

The recirculation flaps are located at the blowers. They are operated by vacuum, so if they are not working, you probably have a vacuum leak or disconnected line.

Thanks for the reply, Spikepaga. I have, for the time being at least, blocked the two intake pipes on the firewall to keep outside air from entering the cabin. I may address this vacuum pot problem when it gets cooler and I need heat. I haven't tried heat yet.
