I believe that the 94 MY use 135a refrigerant like any other car. Might be best to take it to a shop to check it out. Is there a sticker in the engine bay ?

You can recharge the refrigerant yourself, but the system is almost certainly leaking and the only question is how fast. For several years, I was able to recharge my AC in the spring using a can from the auto parts store and it would stay cool through fall. Eventually, though, I bought the bullet and took it to a shop to get it fixed.

Your 94 could be either R-12 or R-134a. I'm not sure when Jaguar changed, they were not required to change until 1996.

R134a ports look like this

R-12 ports look like this
The R-12 have an external thread and the R134a have an internal thread. If your car uses R134a, you can get a recharge kit at any auto supplier.
