Air Filter Elements Won't come out! XJS V12
Hi I need to remove the hinged lids on the Air Cleaners either side of the V12 engine, so I can connect the New Flexi Hoses for the Brakes.
But in order to do so, I have got to get the Paper/Cardboard Filter Elements out and they won't come out!
Are there some bolts or clips that I have to undo, apart from the two spring clips that hold the filter box shut?
Any Ideas?

Lots of ideas, most not allowed on here.
Get a SMALL blade screwdriver, DIG it in around the edge of the metal panel of the element, and lever them out.
This is common, so panic not.
My very warped sense of humour says to cross over some spark plug wires and "backfire" the beast and BLOW them out, but I have spent ALL day attempting to get a very OLD Peugeot Diesel (some 250kms away) to "proceed in a forward direction" (start the damn thing) and failed, so a drink or 2 has passed the lips.

It's 2% abv - might as well drink tap water that's free as 'pay good money' for a 2% abv lager top. . . . . . . . . .
Then again, at anything more than £0.60p even a tin of 5% lager stops looking like good value.

I think I'll get back on the 'Absinthe' that's 60% Proof and only about £20 per bottle + Sugar Cubes which you need to get you through the first few shots as it tastes '*******' Awful!
