Default Analogue clock 95 xjs conv.

Curious if this is a common situation. My clock frequently stops after turning off the car and letting it sit. It will start up often after driving a bit . Keeps good time while running. Do i need a new clock? Change fuse 13 and pulled the clock to clean electrical connections, noticed an in line transistor and wondered if thats spent. Thank you , Jeff

You probably need a new clock. The same thing happened to mine a few years ago. The clock is a Kienzle. They made the same one for a few different cars, so you might be able to find one that isn't XJS-specific.

Or you might choose to source a facelift trip computer and a new bit of veneer and fit that? The trip computer just plugs into the wiring plug of the clock.
