Default Any ideas what this is under my dash?

Was in the drivers footwell changing the radio fuses under the center console side cover and came across this?

Not sure what it is and would like to remove it if it’s not original, but it sort of seems plumbed in?

1989 XJS V12

I believe it's a '80's vintage radar detector

OMG, they used wire nuts to wire it in!! Some people just shouldn't work on cars.
