Default Automatic Off Headlights

My warning buzzer does not indicate if the dashboard or headlights have been left on. I have killed my battery a couple of times. I am going to install a relay that automatically turns off all of the lights. Has anyone installed an auto off relay system? Any ideas? If I design something I will post the wiring diagram.

Should be a fun project. Have not seen it done before.

FWIW

A "Headlights On" warning buzzer is very easy to install. Surely a lot easier than an auto-off system, I'd think

Cheers

Doug,
Was there originally a warning buzzer if the light were left on after the ignition key was removed? The seat belt buzzer unit has several contact point. Was this buzzer used as a warning device for other issues?

I am out of town and don't have the car to look at and test. There are two wires separate from the key ignition power wiring. Are these the wires that close the signaling relay when the key is inserted in the ignition?
