I'm starting to see quite bad corrosion on the b post pillar close to the door frame at the top left corner of the door (with the window down).

I had a close look at it earlier and it looks to be a removable plastic coated metal strip over the shell of the cabin.

Can anyone confirm this or is the exterior facia of the b post all one part of the car shell.

As it's caused by Irish rain coming off the driver window and collecting at the lip where the b post meets the door panels, I'm hoping a water tight replacement part is available - does anyone know any sites selling the part and the part number.

Otherwise, I'll try and cut out as much corrosion, sand it and replace with a plastic metal compound and paint with hammerite.
