Default Banjo Bolt

Slowly getting the pieces back together on my 1992 XJS (V-12) and intended to replace the banjo bold.

In the picture below, you will see the original bolt (left) and new one ordered from Moss Motors (right). Clearly a difference in length.... Has anyone had experience getting the correct size?

On a similar note, I've read the resources about expanding the whole in the bolt. "elongate the cross drilled holes 2mm TOWARDS the threads". Any tips? Do people "elongate" by using a drill bit partially inserted into the hole and then angling the base downwards towards the threads?

Any insight is appreciated.

The moss part is incorrect (it possibly is the V12 camfeed oil banjo bolt). It is the wrong length and looks to be the wrong thread. You need one of these, or clean up and modify the old one as you describe:
