As you may know, Jaguar changed both the battery tray size as well as the fixing arrangement on XJSs a number of times in the late 80s / 90s. Unfortunately most of the UK suppliers quote the wrong battery size and assume that all XJSs use an 096 size battery which is wrong.
Late convertibles need an 017 size battery which is 353 x 175 x 190(h). I'm not sure if your 91 Coupe uses the same.
I've always had good service and prices from www.tayna.co.uk
The last battery I bought for my XJS was about 90ah with about 750cca as I figure you should get the most powerful you can. I paid about £72 delivered from memory.
