Default Buy a new ECU

High men, my engine ECU is broken.
Im looking for an ECU to a 1988 3.6 XJS. I found an ECU to that car but is to an automatic 3.6 and i have a manual 3.6.

Can i put an ECU from an automatic XJS to a manual XJS?

Can it works?

The auto and manual cars have different part numbers for their ECus, so I expect they are not the same. However, if you contact AJ6 Engineering, they will be able to modify an automatic ECU to work correctly with a manual car.

It is 3 years ago when I bought ECU.
But I think that I bought new (remanufacured) ECU.
I have two units for my car, so I must bought "new" without sending old
