Question Battery warning light

Hmmm...another question from a newb...

I noticed that my battery warning light stays illuminated for a second or two after I start my car.

Any reason for this?

Thanks!

Normal on an XJS. Don't ask me why but they all do that. Mine stayed on for several seconds and actually sorta s-l-o-w-l-y faded away rather than just blinking out.

Cheers

Mine does it too. It starts blinking and slowly gets dimmer until its gone. I think its a self diagnostic like when you first turn on the headlights and the bulb out light goes on for 10 seconds.

Default Headlight warning

The owners manual I think says 15-20 seconds for the caution/bulb light to go off. At first I thought I had a headlight out

PS Doug - You are now Yoda wrt these cars!
