My XJS is Nimbus White with a blue interior, so I may be biased, but I do think the cars look beautiful in lighter colors.

That being said, Solent Blue is a close second, and I do wonder how that would look with a deep red interior...

 

I've a quick look on Hemmings Motor News, by no means covering everything, and found a handful with red interiors, but none of the modern ones (only those from the 1970s or earlier - Shadows and Clouds). There might be a few 1980s ones (Silver Spirits), but none of the 21st century Phantoms and Ghosts have red interiors.

And why isn't the Phantom called the Phantom VII?

This is all quite subjective, but IMHO, the best color combo Jaguar ever did was on the Classic Collection limited edition of Black with Magnolia leather.

If we remove the constraints of what Jaguar shipped from the factory, I'd love to see a Midnight Blue with either Cognac or Parchment hides.

(Caveat, I'm a convertible guy, so that may influence my color preferences)
