At least the tear system worked when it was needed. Otherwise it would have been a call here, a call there, figuring what stopped working, got disconnected, ordering parts that might or might not fit..

Yep, when I was in engineering school (Electrical Engineering at that) in the late 80's this document was passed around as "The Lucas SMOKE theory of electrical systems". I still have a hard-copy around here somewhere. Still funny, and OH SO true!

OK all have an opinion, BUT , why were Lucas so bad????????

i still have to wriggle my head light switch, and my ignition switch, to come on??

most other switchs and relays i have replaced with GM Delco-delphi products, been around 19-20yrs now ,, no problems,.

and i still hope the wipers stop in set park position, not in middle. i never know what gonna happen with it.

already replaced directional sw. with a used one,had to take it apart and clean out the old gunk in it anyway.

it seems British are to proud to admit they are poor at electrical engineering,,,BUT great at mechanical engineering! ( my thoughts by the way).

is there not a bible sin about pride??
