Thanks for your advice, Option 2 it is then.

There is nothing wrong with the Clutch (that I know of) it Stops dead when I switch it off, except for the 'After-cool down' running, which you know about.

I am regarding the New Fan, as a Stop Gap measure in case I go electric later on.
