Brake master cylinder
Another question: is the brake master cylinder (for 96 4.0L) available new at a reasonable price? Or does anyone know if there are identical parts? It's quite conceivable that this is not a one-off for Jaguar, but was also fitted to models from other manufacturers.
Thanks for help!

The same master cylinder was used on the X300 sedans and possible other Jags.
I don't know if it was used on other makes
Assuming LHD the part number is JLM12080. Google "JLM12080 Jaguar" and see what comes up!
Here in the USA there are companies that rebuild master cylinders. I just have to believe that such companies exist in Europe. This can be a good alternative or, in some cases, the only alternative
Cheers
