bulb out indicator issue on 1995 2+2
During daytime driving whenever I apply the brakes, the bulb out indicator comes on. During night driving, the bulb out light is constantly on. However, all brake lights work properly and the parking lights function properly as well.
There are only 3 brake lights, correct? - the two outer tail/brake lights and the upper 3rd light.
When are the two lights in the boot cover supposed to come on?
Finally, on an unrelated note, I know this sounds self explanatory and ridiculous but is there a glove box on this car? I assumed there wasn't but I've seen mention of one in some manuals.

I've had my '96 XJS 2+2 for about 5 months and had the same problem. It ended up being one bad bulb in the upper 3rd brake. I have been warned about the electrical ghost though.
As for the glove box, I thought it might have some secret James Bond hidden latch, but I finally took the panel off to see nothing but electrical wiring. Oh well, being without a cup holder and glove box is my least concern. I love driving this car and can't wait till springtime.

1993 was the last year for the glove box, after that there is a passenger air bag. 1993 was also the last year for the XJS to have a storage box where the later models would have passenger seats.

Yes, they did relocate the mirror to the visor, with a little light and all.
No idea what they got rid of the glove box, it certainly could have been made to fit...maybe a bit awkwardly low, but definitely could have been designed to be included.
