Default Bullfrogs Under the Hood?

OK, so I've been on the road for a week. Now that I'm home my wife tells me that while I was away, my car was making rhythmic "bullfrog" noises. As far as I can tell, the noises were coming from under the hood. The battery was hooked up to a trickle charger. She disconnected the charger, and the noise stopped. Now, of course the battery is dead.
My first thought is car alarm. Just wondering, any other thoughts/cures?

Hmmm, on my 94 the alarm makes more of a high pitched chirp than a ribit and the sounder is inside the car.

The only thing that comes to mind as sounding remotely like a frog is the fuel system pressurizing but the pump is in the back. Not sure what the motor in the idle control valve sounds like but maybe a possibility?

Cheers,

Allan

Thanks Allan. Yes, the fuel system pressurizing was also a thought. I am familiar with that one, each time I reconnect the battery. So, could it be there is something else discharging the battery which the trickle charger can't keep up with. And with the battery dead, when the charger cycles on/off, that is enough for the pump to pressurize the fuel system?
After I make a dent in my honeydo list, the hunt will begin.

Maybe there's a frog caught in your Jag's fuel rail system. Have you checked?

Sorry, I just HAD to!

Ha!
I was thinking about leapers under the hood...
Anyway, I'll be looking for the source of the draw later today.
