Default Bumpers

I’m wanting to pull in the front and rear bumpers. I just don’t like the look of the big rubber block bumpers.
Has anyone done this?

Bullitandy did that on his one of a kind shooting brake conversion. Replaced the thick rubber bu pers with small chrome bumpers made of the chrom sections as fitted to the HE models. Welded and done. Looked neat! Not very protective though! And the indicators at the front need to move down as some big cut outs are visible.

I have read that some people collapse the jell in the shock absorber and push the bumper inwards....might be worth a try, or loads of UK bumpers on ebay.co.uk

I'm wanting to do the same thing, get rid of those hideous giant bumpers and make it a little more modern looking. I'll probably make my own fiberglass bumper I think
