Cool A/C drain

Good morning everyone. Just bought a 1994 low mileage XJS 4.0 drove it from SC to WA great drive. Trouble is, , ,ice cold wet feet! a/c not draining to the outside, when you stop no typical pool of water on ground from a/c. drains into cab, mostly on passenger side. Any advice/ideas?

The condensate drain tubes (2) poke thru the floorboards on either side of the transmission tunnel...just aft of where the transmission and engine are bolted together.

You have to (somehow) (safely) get under the car and clear the clogged tubes with a piece of stiff-ish wire. Be gentle. And don't put your face directly under the tubes unless you like the smell and taste of brackish water

Cheers
DD

I had a different solution.

I detached the knee bolster from the passenger side and pulled off the big fat blue silicone elbow and released about 1/2 cup of water. Be prepared, bring some kind of collection vessel. I wasn't prepared for such a large volume of water.

Pushing a length of about 7" of straight wire hanger up the drain hole from underneath the car did nothing until I pulled out that section of elbow. I even detached the drain from inside the car without any success.
