1993 XJS Coupe 60K
This car was just purchased by to me. Was repairing Glove Box lock, ignition off.
Started car and then turned it off. At that point heard fan running at low speed, and all three, light failure bulb, Head lights and License Plate lights were quickly flashing at about two second intervals. Tried all switches on and off plus silicone spray into ignition switch. Nothing affected fan or lights. I have no idea at this point where to look. To conserve the battery I disconnected the negative lead
Since this car is new to me I have not yet purchased a service manual and have no reference to a wiring schematic I would appreciate any help in solving this problem.

 

Problem solved;

Removed Fan Relay Fuse; fan stopped. Replaced fuse fan remained off and worked normally (Stuck Relay)


Beeping and flash continued; ignition off, doors closed, switches off.
Last resort pressed button on key entry several times; beeping and flashing stopped
Went into kitchen and pour a drink!!!!!

 

Was just gonna say that it was most prob. the alarm......

 

Agree on the a;arm, but why the alarm and the right a/c fan at the same time? Would a seized A/C relay set off the alarm?

Any idea where the relay is located? I would like to burnish the contacts, if possible.
