Default calibrating a V12 tach to V6

anyone know how to calibrate a V12 tachometer to read V6 output?
car is an 85

Im thinking you could probably use the tachometer internals and face from a similar year XJ6 but the unused blinker indicator would probable look odd. You could use Dakota digital converter box.

Or find a tach from a V12 *Marelli* ignition car. Those read off just 6 of the 12 cylinders
