Hello friends,
I'm having a bit of trouble getting the car started after putting the transmission back in and replacing the starter. The car would not crank at all so i'm thinking it has something to do with the starter wiring. In the process of putting the starter back in I do remember seeing two larger gauge wires that confused me, i bolted both to the solenoid and the terminal to the terminal post. I thought this was the correct configuration but now I am not sure, its been a month since I first removed everything. Can anybody help with this?
Somebody had a recent thread about non starting on a V12. I offered a work around to isolate where the loss of start control might be or loss of main 12V direct power might be. Diagram shows the two large cables on the starter. One from the battery, and the other goes to the alternator. The 3rd smaller wire is the start control to energize the solenoid on the starter. See this diagram below to help. Th temporary ground I show is to isolate out the saftey and security interlocks.
