Default Center Dash panel / trim / clock removal? Gear indicator bulb?

I want to change out the clock and switch bulbs for the analog clock and four switches (hazard, rear-defrost and interior lights) to LED to match the same I have done for the instrument cluster.
I'm presuming either the clock OR center panel is the first to remove and it's a case of pulling straight out to release from a tension fit / hold of either clips or push pins.

What's the proper / best way to remove to access bulb replacement?
Clock or center panel first? Other?
Carefully insert a plastic trim removal tool to pry out? Other?

Bonus Round - tip to replace the gear indicator bulb?
LED preference hear again. Removal of the gear shifter trim is obviously straight forward but the access to the bulb deep inside was not apparently clear from memory when I looked awhile back - thoughts?

Thanks, Steve

The switches and their surrounds (wood veneer or plastic) just lever out of the dash, us a plastic lever or a wide screwdriver carefully. They are held in by spring-steel fixings.
