Default Climate Control Illumination Problem Question

The illumination lights on my climate controls on our '96 XJS 2+2 are not working so I took it off and took it to a electronics shop who checked and said the problem is not in the climate control head. I have already checked the fuses and as far as I know it uses the same fuse for the climate control background lights that it does for all the other dash lights and all those work fine, dim/bright properly with the dimmer control, etc.

The climate controls themselves all work fine, and the red LED lights in the buttons themselves work, it's just the 8 background illumination lights that are not working.

Does anyone know for sure if they are on the same fuse as all the other dash lights? I looked in the book and only seen one fuse listed, and besides that checked all the fuses in the fuse boxes on both driver and passenger side.

Anyone have any clue what I'm overlooking?
