Default Considering upgrading to HID headlights...

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these: 5 3 4" Crystal Clear Glass Headlight Metal Headlamp 6K 6000K HID Light Bulbs Set | eBay

I'd be very interested in making this upgrade, *IF* it's possible to do so without setting the car on fire or something equally drastic. If this type of upgrade isn't possible, I'm also open to going to something like this:

5 3 4" White LED Halo Halogen Light Bulb Headlight Angel Eye Crystal Clear Set | eBay

...which is basically just switching out the sealed-beam stock units for a modern halogen bulb setup.

But I'm really interested in the HID possibilities. Would welcome your thoughts.

Jess

You will notice a HUGE improvement with the H4 / H1 halogen bulb setup in the replacement headlights. The euro spec cars always had these from the factory and they are miles better than the (at the time) USA-by-law fitted sealed beams. You can also buy super bright bulbs, still halogen, still legal, that have superb lighting. All this without the hassle and questionable legality (over this side) of aftermarket HIDs without self levelling. I have these and they really are good.

HIDs are really good from the illumination point of view I am sure. But on my car, any aftermarket electrics/electronics I have fitted have always failed!
