Convertible rear window
Thre rear window has two straps that attachh to it. Mine were just hanging there with no tension and one of them was cut. How do these attach? I seem to be missing parts on mine. When I bought the car the top was missing...
There are loops on the ends of those straps which are then held by sheet metal brackets passing through the loops and pop rivited to a top bow.
If you look at your bows you'll see small holes which are for the rivets.

hmm. that makes sense. i looked evrywhere I could see and could not find where they connected. I'm just replacing the outer cover... I wound up attaching them to the back bow with screws so the window would have some support. It seems ok like this, I'd hate to have to buy new straps, I'm trying to save money and all these little things add up.
Since it operates ok with my rig job
(window lowers just fine), I'm going to stick with what I have, hopefully in the long term this doesnt cause issues. It seems like the longer straps would ease the window down a little easier... my fingers are crossed on my reengineered design.
