My 86 has a sort of faucet, on the right rear of the radiator. The valve is at the bottom, but a metal rod extends upwards, that turns the valve, and can be reached from above.

I usually take the Bottom Hose off the Radiator, which is about as easy as trying to Climb Mount Everest in a pair of Carpet Slippers.
A lot depends on how easy it is to undo the Jubilee Clip on the Bottom Hose, then having done so Twist the Hose in order to break the seal.
Which you can do with an Oil Filter Strap Wrench Remover.
But if you're going to replace that Hose, then just cut it through with a Bread Knife.
Very seldom any need to remove the Spoiler, providing that you have 'The Jaguar Gods' on your side.
Together with Sticking Plasters and the obligatory bottle of JD.
Home made Rad Hose Wrangler to Twist the Bottom Hose to break the Seal, which works on the 'Dutch Windlass' principle, or you could do it properly and use an Oil Filter Strap removal Wrench.

Flushing out the Rad before Refilling
Blue Antifreeze mixed 50/50 with Deionized Water (How decadent is that!) but I live in a Hard Water Area, so only the best for my Baby.
Putting in the last drop of Antifreeze with a Syringe but with the benefit of Hindsight, I should have done it through the Banjo on the other side. (Although of course there are other ways)
Nothing more Satisfying than Flushing out the Rad (Note to Self I need to get out more)
