Default Could be in the Hot Seat ?

Has anyone ever heard of one of the seats catching fire?
Turned driver heat on after a few minutes felt a little to warm then faint smell of maybe foam burning turned it off no smoke looked under seat when arrived home smell was gone. The heater has not been turned on in 2 years I hoped maybe that was reason for smell.

Thank you for any info

Never heard of a seat full-on catching fire but I've heard of a few burning right thru the upholstery and burning the person in the seat

Cheers

Hi, Doug thanx for reply. Is the seat padding non flammable ?

I think the Jag wants to burn up.
Gas gauge below empty, went to fill up had to write check and put in amount before they could set pump. Figure it is a 25 gallon tank at least 80 dollars I write check for 65 dollars at 63 dollars put shuts off,I've topped off my other vehicles 3 dollars or more so I top it off to 65 dollars, I look down and a flood of gas on ground, look under car it is not dripping but running off the shocks and kept running for at least a minute all 4 wheels in a pond of gas. Kept people away, after it quit running out a customer help me push it out of the gas. Store put orange cones all around it. Then I started it drove down Highway to lower gas level which took very little time.lol. Scared the sh-t out of me never seen that happen on any vehicle before had to have run out 4 or 5 gallons ,running out while I was putting it in. What do I need to do,Besides not top it off.LOL

I'm not familiar with convertible fuel tank plumbing but my first guess is that the joiner hose (if there is one) between the filler pipe and the tank is leaking or loose.
