Eyes surely aren't what they once were. Does the 87 HE even have a CPS? I have been all over this ting and can't seem to find it. I've changed them in a 92 xjs v12 and several XJ40's. The huge connector is very visible on the ones I've done. I've read on the forum all I could find, and followed the posts instructions. This car? It's a mystery.

 

I think only marelli ignition systems has crank shaft position sensors.

 

Whew, if that's the case, I'll postpone my shrink appointment.

 

I don't know if I'd cancel that appoinment just yet. Although correct about the CPS, it is my sense that we all are a little off for trying to own and maintain these cars, lol.
