Crankshaft Pulley Socket Size
1977 XJS 5.3L V12
What socket size for the crankshaft pulley bolt? I looked it up in the Jaguar Hertiage CD. All it has is 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, and 3/4 for spanner sizes for page 12-68. I was thinkin 3/4.

Pretty sure it's 1-5/16ths. Wish I could swear to it.
Seems to me that (at least) some V12s had a "turning plate" bolted to the pulley or balancer. This allowed the engine to be turned with a smaller wrench or socket....7/8ths, perhaps?
The actual bolt holding the balancer is below the "turning plate", if one is fitted.
