Default Dana Differential Pinion Seal

The pinion seal on my '88 is leaking. I ordered PN CBC6923 from SNG Barratt and it doesn't fit. This leads me to believe I have the Dana diff. The listed PN for a pinion seal is JLM337, which seems to be out of stock everywhere except England. I left a message with the shop to check for the presence of a drain plug (No drain plug=Dana, Drain plug=Salisbury), but I think I know the answer I'm getting. My question is, are there alternative part numbers that might refer to the same part and be available more locally?

I think any transmission place would have one, it should be the same item as for a DANA 44. You can always pull the old one and take it along, they will certainly have one the correct size.

I just ordered one for a 1988 Corvette, which came with Dana 44 IRS. We'll find out when it gets here.
