Differential output shaft caliper mounting bolt
Can anyone shed some light on the correct installation of the bolts holding the caliper mount brackets/output shaft brackets, Salisbury diff.>
The manual talks of lockwire of the 5 bolts, yet the bolts on my recently bought diff have no holes on them.
They do however have remains of what looks like Loctite blue.
Was this a later methodology replacing the wire?
Since I am asking questions (!) the Jaguar manual talks of using Loctite AAV on the shaft spline in the hub carrier.
I cannot find AAV on the net. I did find AV. Is there a more modern replacement?
P.S. Loctite themselves have not replied to my email !

My ‘88 with Salisbury only had (has) locking wire on the 2 caliper bolts, and no evidence of Loctite on the 5 output shaft bolts.
The hub splines are glued together with something that is God-awful strong….

I’ve long since stopped using safety wire. Except where appearance is of primary concern.
Locktite blue is used were things need to be removed. Locktite red is almost forever stuff.
I’ve actually pulled the aluminum threads out when I tried to remove it without heat.
