Distributor cap bargain
Since aftermarket caps are of lower quality most owners with Marelli ignition seek out...with increasing difficulty.... bona-fide original Marelli distributor caps, which have been out of production for several years.
But.......
This is such a bargain that I had to pass it along

I'm fairly sure that all aftermarket V12 Marelli caps come from the same manufacturer, regardless of labels and packaging. This one is "Intermotor"

Yeah, all Intermotor. Same as the newer ignition modules. They also have Intermotor stamped into them. My dizzy cap is still an original Marelli. Rumor has it, that you cannstill buy brand new Marelli caps from Lamborghini (were fitted to the Diablo and I think Countach).
Some quick Googling says you're right, at least for the cap. Not sure about the rotor. Here's one that would work, maybe....

Funny, on the Lambo forums everyone is trying to figure out which Jaguar cap to use. On Jaguar forums we're trying to figure out which Lamborghini cap to use.
It seems that older (80s-90s) single-distributor Lambos used the same cap but I didn't drill down into excruciating detail.
The Lambo guys seemingly have trouble finding decent (or any, perhaps) rotors.
Interestingly the name Chad Bolles came up quite often. He used to be very active in the Jaguar circles years ago. Nice fellow. Before Jags and Lambos I think he was into Studebaker Avantis...and probably many other interesting cars

i have talked with Chad back some yrs, great guy ,and knows what he is doing.
last i heard he was getting into some Aston Martin stuff, he liked the Aston V12 engine and slightly lighter car than XJS!
like many XJS V12 owners , he was not really happy with only 166mph, many engine mods , and(i think) he used a race transmission , shifts at full throttle(NO LIFT), you can hear it in the video!
