Default do I have a chasis/frame?

This might be a dumb question...
Do the 94 6 cyl xjs have a chasis/frame per say?

I'm redoing my floor pans and came across a piece of rusted floor right next to the shift stick when the floor and the wall meet... I started cutting away rusted pieces... and saw the under part also rusted... I thought it was a piece of frame, but it turns out it is just another piece of bent sheet metal...

Does any one have images of the frame (if there is one)?

Thanks a bunch

No, you have an unibody car....but there IS a separate frem to hold the engine and front suspension.

Thanks, Doug...
So just the front and rear sub frames?
How do they achieve stiffness?

Viagra ......

the stiffness is achieved by all the bends in the metal. Think about a flat sheet of metal vs a piece of angle iron multiple angles equals extream structure
