Default Driver side seat bolster

Good day everyone,

I looked on the forum but I could not find any info relating to my seat bolster. The attached picture shows how the seat bolster has separated from the seat cushion? From looking at jags over the years, it seems like a common problem. I have a 1995 XJS conv, 67K, good looking car. I resurfaced the leather, looks pretty good. How do I get the seat bolster realigned to the seat cushion. This would increase comfort and make it look better too. The passenger seat is ok. Thanks for your help

Take it to your local auto upholstery shop and have them check if you need to replace the shaped foam under the bolster.

You could always try this:-

Evo Stik Sticks Like Sh*t Clear 290ml | Solvent-Free Adhesives | Screwfix.com

It does what it says on the tube!

E J Garity. I had the same problem with my '96 2+2. Left hand driver. I took the right seat bottom and switched it for the left. That put the bolster on the drivers side next to the right tunnel and the bolster from the right or passenger side on the left next to the drivers door. It is a bit of trouble as you must take the seats out and apart at the hinge. It can be done though and will solve the left leaning drivers bolster. It also gets the less worn seat over to the drivers side. Cheers, RagJag

Thanks for the info. Is there a help doc showing how to swap the seat cushions?

I don't think there is a help posting. The seat back has to stay on the original side because the latch to release the back is on the outside near the door. Just dive in and do it. If you have any difficulty, the members of the forum will be glad to help. This is only moderately difficult and any DIY tinker can do it. Both seats must be removed.
Cheer, RagJag

Thanks for all the input. I swapped the seat cushions, was not all that difficult, just took some time.
