Default Electronic Ignition without Dizzy Spinner?

Does anyone make an electronic ignition for the V12 that does not use the dizzy spinner? I am trying to determine whether I could clean out the valley with the exception of the tower. Maybe I could move the compressor to the air pump spot.

In theory, the entire V could be emptied out, incl. pedastal. BMW style throttle via an alteration in the position (turning them 90° so they face the front) and then using two cables on one pull. There dizzyless ignition system. Check the late 6.0l V12s from the XJ40 (XJ81) and X300 (X305). They had I think 2 coil packs with 6 connections.

I personally see no reason to remve the dizzy. It's not like these engines need distributorless ignition setups. You won't see much gain either. If it were a high performance engine, say like Warren's build, where everything is apart in the first place, then yeah. But otherwise I'd leave it as is.

Why not get shot of the air pump altogether Andreas? Then move the compressor. The emptier the V the better and the easier to maintain the car, I absolutely agree. But once the compressor is gone, things look much better anyway, and airflow is miles better too.
As the Lucas OPUS on the pre HEs is very prone to age-related failures, updating it for a RE-OPUS conversion is a good idea.

To go distributorless ignition you would need to change the ECU for either a programmable or the later Denso V12.

I agree moving the AC compressor is a good idea. The old GM A6 is a very large heavy unit and replacing it with modern Sanden or Denso relocated to the side has been done before.
