Default Engine Install

As stated in my earlier post, I was going to lump the 1985 XJS.
The engine is installed and running at this point in time.
I am using an Edelbrock Pro Force EFI system, and all I have to do now is drive the car so that the ECM will self learn the engine parameters.

Here are some pics

ECU installed on inner fender

Hello Sanchez

Just one thing - it looks like your radiator hose from your thermostat housing has a high point (hose is higher than the radiator inlet).

In the hot rod forum I follow, this was the root cause of why engines can overheat. Sort of introduces an air gap into the system

Would be very interested if you could send through some photo's of your accelerator cable set up

Cheers
Steve

@Bez: Yes, I noticed that and will be correcting the hose issue after I get the engine properly tuned via Edelbrock's software.
So far it is running great except that it is slightly overfuelling on cold starts. Edelbrock techs are working with me to resolve this via a firmware upgrade on the tuning tablet.
I have already downloaded the upgraded firmware but life got in the way so that will have to wait until sometime next week.
I will post a pic of my temporary accelerator cable set up tomorrow.
I am also in the process of getting an accelerator cable bracket from "LOKAR" to change the angle of the accelerator cable as I am using the OEM Jaguar cable.
The accelerator pedal is stiffer than normal because of this angle. I am also looking into a replacement accelerator cable as a last resort.

I've seen worse. How much power and what kind of driving characteristics are you going for? I like the iron fist in velvet glove quality of the V12 (any GT V12).
