Where are they!!!!???

i was looking at saving to get another car and would rather revamp my xjs instead. this is just a future thing so i am speculating a bit.

i would love to rebuild the engine and make this car really sound but where is all the bits???

I can find rings, chains, and shims and that is about all.....Where can i get new pistons and new camshafts. I doubt i need everything but i want to have it available when the time comes.

 

Very low demand for that stuff so availability isn't gonna be all that great.

Where have you looked? If you only searched for on-line listings that might not be enough. I'd call a couple Jag suppliers (Coventry, Welsh, etc) and see what they have to say.

AFAIK anyone needing pistons has them custom made but mine certainly isn't the final word.

Owners with the AJ16 six cylinder engines face the same dilemma.
