Hi guys, Does anyone know if the door (window) glass on a 1988 XJS Hess & Eisenhardt convertible interchanges with the base coupe glass? Thanks, Andy

 

I don't know for sure, but strongly suspect it is common with the coupe.

I would contact Paul's Jaguar in Florida... they seem very knowledgeable on the H&E.

If the XJS convertible and coupe door glasses are the same, it will be a unique occurrence in British automobile design.

I was able to answer my own question while visiting an XJS 'honey hole' yesterday. The H&E door glass is the same as the coupe of those years. The quarter window glass is unique to the H&E and is NOT Triplex. The maker of it is LOF E-Z-Eye. I recall from my 20+ years of musclecar salvage yard ownership (there ARE other cool cars) that this is a brand used by General Motors. Cheers, Andy
