Default Facelift - Name that part!
I have a 96 XJS, with the AJ16, can someone help tell me what this is...and why it's covered in oil?

Its under the intake manifold, probably around where Coil Pack #4 is.

Leaky oil pressure sending unit (for the warning light, not the gauge). Two wires on the gauge sending unit and one wire on the warning light sending unit next to it.

Thank you. It'll go on a long term list, but this can't cause any problems other than a low oil light, or faulty gauge readings, correct?
