Spent the morning looking but no luck. Does anybody have a source for a fan speed control knob for a 1996 XJS convertible. Of course it turns the AC on and it's hot out there. Thanks.

As you can see from the Jaguar website, the fan speed knob has been NLA for some time now. As you probably know, the knob doesn't turn on the aircon (which is a small push button), but putting it in fan speed 2 does enable the auto-speed function.

in the interim, use some pliers to turn it to Position 2 and start phoning the XJS breakers to find a 2nd-hand part. There'll be plenty of people in the UK who could find that part for you.

My temp control has a crack in the part that slips over the shaft too. It was wired up and glued by the PO. Although I can turn the knob/shaft, there is play and a loose feeling when turning it. So I too need one. Fan speed and temp control are the same knobs.
