Default fitted to a x reg HE

I have a water deflector that I removed from an early he xjs door, fits above the hinges on the horizontal pressing, unfortunately I only have the left side, has anyone got a spare right side

water deflector


fits above the chrome bit

That's a UK thing. Instead of saying the exact year or model year the car has, they say the registration letter on their vehicles number pnate. This is then for someone who knows their years then a determination of at least the registration point... I think the Letters changed every 6 months or so.

So X reg(istration) could be anythibg, especially since the number plates can also be transfered or even given randomly. My XJ-S is an 89 and had a special plate prior my purchase and was then given a generic 'H reg' plate. Though H is well out of the area for it...

sorry its the first year of manufacture 1981. they would, if fitted, stop water when you open the doors on a really rainy day from flooding the car with the water that drips down from the wings etc, as far as I can tell,
