Just make sure you stop at a parts store and get one before you leave. Cap, rotor, probably some radiator fluid and oil and the tool kit that was just mentioned.

Don't sweat the small stuff with a car that has 6 u-joints, two thermostats, Lucas and Bosch electrics, owned by previous owners. Do by JameyXJ6 and take the old fashion road trip in a British car. I've bought in 42 yrs. 38 some odd old British cars and have only two break downs on the interstate one at night. Headlight and taillight short. Caused by the worn out wiring in the boot of a Spitfire. The other during the day in an XJ6, muffler dropped and started dragging.
