I just bought a used 1988 XJS Convertible. I'm aware that there was a problem with the fuel purge system that there was a recall. The previous owner doesn't know anything about this. I called a jag dealer and they are checking it for me. I'm not sure if this is still covered by the recall, but how invasive and costly is replacing this system?

Does anyone know anyone good in Los Angeles who won't rip me off and do a good job on the car? I bought it for my mom for Mother's Day and I want it to have it fairly operational for her.
