an NA engine could care less about it!
FWIW l have a guage mounted permanently adjacent to the filter in the boot/ trunk. Sits nicely in behind the spare for diagnostic reference when required.

Are you reading supply side, pre-A bank FPR pressure, or do you have no A bank FPR?

I think I found a $100 solution for the AJ6/16 engines.

Adaptall Part #9634-14-14-02 is a M14xM14x1/8 tee. M14s are threaded 1.5 and the 1/8" tee is a female NPT threaded connection. All you have to do is find a suitable 1/8" male NPT fitting, whether it's a schrader valve or gauge.

The Amazon product in Post#14 is a $50 solution, but would require two additional adapters to make it work. It does come with a schrader valve and has been built for fuel. That's gotta be a big benefit.

thoughts? Which one would you use?

Even better than I thought.

I located a tee for $10. It's Actron Part#0180-000-1320. The schrader valve is not a standard size, so I was trying to figure out the threads when I came across information that this part comes with a gauge on eBay for $32! Look for Part#CP7817.

Still no confirmation on the threads, but I believe Summit Racing says they for M16x1.5. I'll buy adapters to bring it back down to M14x1.5 and call it a day for $40 all in!

I figured it was worth the $32 to see if I can make this work. I'll keep the forum posted. Thanks for everyone's input already.

I received the kit today. The threads in the tee are indeed m16x1.5, so two adapters will have to be purchased. No big deal, as they are easy to find.

One thing to note, the fitting does restrict flow down to a 1/4" opening. Coincidentally, the incoming feed, as well as outgoing feed from the fuel rail appears to match that same 1/4" restriction! I believe this is a perfect candidate for my project.

FYI: The schrader valve threads are SAE 1/2-20 (or fine thread). Since this $30 kit came with a pressure gauge, all I need to find is a cap!

I'll let you know when I fit this on!

Finally fit it on...

Thumbs down. Too many fittings means leaks. I had a little leak which, when i tightened down ended up snapping my fuel rail connection. Oops.

Anyways, I suggest anyone interested in this simply cut the return fuel line, add a tee with some hose clamps and work it that way.

Now that I went through that hassle, I don't know if i ever would have been confident that I wouldn't have sprung a leak sometime in the future with that assembly of parts.

vee i agree to many pushon fittings, hose clamps and assorted headaches.
we diffenatly do not want a fuel leak on a hot engine in the middle of July etc.

i have excellent fuel rails, and all AEROQUIP hi pressure fittings(rated 1000psi).

looks good , and rails can be polished with Alum polish bright and shinee.
