Default Fuel Tank Padding?

I'm in the process of swapping out the gas tank in my '89 coupe.
I bought a new tank and installation kit from SNG Barratt.
The installation kit, among other things contained black foam, about 1/2 thick, which I assume is replacement foam for what was used on the original. No instructions though.
Problem is, it looks like the tank has been out before, has thinner white foam padding, so its not clear to me how the foam padding is supposed to install, be it on the top or bottom of the tank.
There are the triangular pieces that go on the sides like on the old tank, but there are also several other pieces, one the width of the tank, and several other narrow pieces. Do these pieces 'stack' on the top of the tank?

Any help would be appreciated!

The foam goes under and behind the tank. There are also foam pieces under the straps that hold the tank in.

While you have the tank out there is a pop rivet on the right side put in from under the car. This rubs on the bottom of the tank, if it has not already been fixed remove the rivet and install a new one from the top, ie from under the tank.

I had a look for the rivet and there it was, plain as day.
Thanks Warren!

If you look at the bottom of the tank you will find where it's been rubbing, leave it long enough and it'll wear a hole in the tank, another Jaguar what were thinking.
