Does anyone know a source for new badges for the front fenders of a 1995 XJS V12? It's a gold leaper on a black background with a silver base. I noticed today that one of mine the black/gold part has came off leaving only the silver base. Guess it washed off in a car wash, was in a hurry the other day and drove through one of those high-pressure no-touch drive-through car washes.

I looked online and tried to do searches but can't find any, only found a couple on eBay but the leapers was all silver instead of gold and on one even the background was wrong (red instead of black).


Also, does anyone know if they are pinned on or stuck on for the '95 year model cars? Even though they was the wrong color I noticed some of the ones that came up in my search in pictures some showed pins and some showed to be stuck on with double sided tape but both said was OEM.

I'm not sure if the gold wing badge was standard on your car or not (We don't have XJS wing badges at home here). However, the part number for the gold badge is HMD5771AA for the LH side. The RH side is HMD5770AA. The LH side is still available from Jaguar. See here:

I'm stunned that you could run one of these convertibles through a car wash. I thought the pressure of the water would shoot through the gap between quarterpanel and door glass.

 

V-12 leapers are gold, 6's are silver and a few models had none.

 

The side leaper fits into the holes that for other markets, has the side indicator repeater lights. This came out in the '91 facelift.
I guess this means that the US cars don't have any side repeaters.......
