Default Headlamp adjuster clips

Hello all,
This 1991 pre-facelift XJ-S came to me with the right (oval) headlamp held in place with tape due to broken plastic clips (AAU1313).
The complete adjusters are no longer available from Jaguar but 3D-printed replacement clips are offered on ebay
(https://www.ebay.com/itm/284074634285).
I fitted these to the adjusters but I am so far unable to seat the headlamp into the new clips. I can feel the spring resistance as I push the lamp in but no "click".
Has anyone used these replacement clips with success? If so, can you share any advice or recommendations?
Thank you.
Patrick

I have some headlight adjustment cables in my spares bins.
They are from my 94 donor car.
Don't know if they are compatible with your 91.
PM me if you are interested and make an offer.

Default not compatible

Thanks equiprx but this arrangement doesn't use cables.
Also, the car is an '89 not '91. My mistake. I shouldn't do these things late at night
(and yes, 9 PM is late for me these days!)
All other details are correct.
