Help!! what are these 2 loose wires in my trunk???

Default Help!! what are these 2 loose wires in my trunk???
The black wire and red wire were found behind panel in trunk on passenger side.
theY appear to have been connected to something at one time (battery maybe).
red wire has in line fuse.....what were/are these for??. Please help explain

Do you mean these? (see photo)

If so that is the Fuseable Link and if they have either come loose or disconnected, the engine won't turn over

Default No.....that's not the wires
I wlli try to send picture of wires...my car starts fine....but only if cold...will not start once warmed up

A loose red and black wire with an in-line fuse sounds to me like the remnants of a stereo installation to me.

There is a factory cd player (never used) on other side of trunk in panel
